Two Big Surprises For You!

I’m so excited about this season. Tons of craft and art fairs coming up, and so many beautiful things to see and purchase! So many gifts for all the friends and loved ones in your life! I have two surprises for you in this post. Read on!

Next Friday, the day after Thanksgiving (November 24th, just in case) is a fabulous event called the Late Late Craft Show! I’ll be there from 5:00 to 10:00 pm. If you’re in the Chicago area, you really don’t want to miss this!

Now here’s the first surprise:

If you’re not in the Chicago area, or if for some reason you can’t make it to the LLCS, no worries! LSS Luscious Knits is having a little shopping special from Saturday, November 25th to Monday, November 27th.

Every day this week, I will be posting new items in my Etsy shop, and since November 25th is Small Business Saturday and the 27th is Cyber Monday, I’m offering a 15% discount for ANY purchase in my Etsy shop! The discount can be used towards any product listed (sorry, no custom orders in this special).

Go to LSS Luscious Knits on Etsy, pick out what you want, and use coupon code SBSCM2017 at checkout – anytime between Nov. 25 to Nov. 27!

Keep an eye on my events page too because there are plenty of other shows coming up starting the very next weekend on December 2nd!

And now, my second surprise…

Introducing some of my favorite things, and the wonderful women who make them! All of them local. Call this my first holiday gift guide!

Carman Weathington is the owner of Carman Weathington Studio. She has a passion for all things creative. In addition to being a massage therapist, a life coach, Tarot reader and Reiki & Reflexology Practitioner, she is a visual artist, specializing in wallets, note cards, paintings, and jewelry. She is building an amazing community through Facebook by hosting “Goddess Gatherings,” and Vision Boarding parties. She’s an incredibly spiritual woman and seeks to share that spirit with other women, and help them find their strength, passion, and creativity.

Abstract painting by Carman Weathington, hanging in my workspace, inpsiring me. When I gaze at this patinting, I see a colorful mass of people walking down the street.

I love her work, and I love her gatherings because she helps us focus and hone in on what inspires us, and encourages us to commit to ourselves through art. You can join her Facebook Page, and read more about her on her website, Carman Weathington.com.

Bonnie Lecat is the owner of Bonnie Lecat Designs.  She creates art for those who want to share who they are, while they discover the power of creative expression. Her mission is to help people discover and embrace their own creativity so that they can grow and stretch their wings – and learn to fly. Whether you are hanging art on your wall to express your unique style, or creating a piece of art or a craft, She aims to help art fill ALL of your empty spaces, inside and out. She offers original art, classes, and even live, online paint-alongs! Like her Facebook page so you can stay up-to-date with future online events.

Sonya Benham is the owner of Parlor Art, and she focuses on unique, handmade macrame items. You can purchase items listed in her shop, or request custom-made work. She can work with natural colors, or white rope dipped in dye. I love her work. Her pieces add grace and elegance to the atmosphere!

I call this pattern “Falling Arrows.” I love the simplicity of the design and the clean lines. –Sonya Benham, owner of Parlor Art

As her site mentions, the shop’s name, “Parlor,” has a double meaning:

“It serves as a business providing goods and as a sitting room. I like to think of my work as a beautiful adornment to any room where you like to sit, talk, or just be.” — Sonya Benham

I was hesitant at first to make owls because they are a macrame staple that’s been done. But once I started making them, I find it so fun. I make them all a little different so that each is one-of-a-kind. –Sonya Benham

Sonya is also a wonder-hair stylist. Color is her passion, so I highly recommend you make an appointment with her at Supreme Beauty Parlor (parlor, get it?), and then you can find out where she’ll be showing her macrame creations!

So…that’s it for today! Thank you for reading, and I hope this post helps you get inspired and stoked for holiday shopping!

I am incredibly grateful to you for following me, reading my posts, supporting my work, and supporting my passion! Have a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving!
